Visitors were able to travel back in time as Station Road #Desborough was transformed into a scene from wartime Britain.
There was a demonstration about using equipment (pictured above) from the Fire Service, and entertainment, dancing lessons and the songs of the #1940s!
With lots of costumed #re-enactors strolling in the September sunshine, and a military and civilian vehicle display along the roadside, it was easy to imagine we had stepped back in time!
There's always a great atmosphere at Desborough's 1940's events and this year was no exception. Thoroughly enjoyable!
(Adding more pictures from this event later- glitch in software at present!)
The 1940s Picture Post brings you news and views about 1940s events and re-enactments, your WWII stories, Bletchley Park and the radio spies, or voluntary interceptors, listening stations, vintage fashion, films, tv, dvd, in fact everything and anything about the 1940's!
