Stoneleigh Militaria Show always draws the crowds, not surprising really as this popular Warwickshire venue provides collectables and uniforms, medals, manuals, even military vehicles and much, much more.
There were lots of #1940s collectors, enthusiasts and #re-enactors, many wearing
#homefront or military uniform, and also stalls selling #vintage clothing, hats and shoes.
Very interesting and popular event!
The 1940s Picture Post brings you news and views about 1940s events and re-enactments, your WWII stories, Bletchley Park and the radio spies, or voluntary interceptors, listening stations, vintage fashion, films, tv, dvd, in fact everything and anything about the 1940's!

HOOTON PARK 1940s WEEKEND 20TH AND 21ST AUGUST 2016
Built in 1917 and operational during #WWII, as an RAF base for coastal command, Hooton Park, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, staged it's second 1940s weekend. One of the aircraft hangars was the venue for lots of 1940s entertainment, which included the Victory Girls.
There were lots of WWII and Home Front re-enactors and #vintage shopping opportunities with militaria and clothing stalls.(Pictured below #Navy Online Re-enactors.)
With Wartime re-enactments, military and civilian vehicles, and equipment and uniforms on display,
and also plenty of tables and chairs for everyone to enjoy the music and a cup of tea, this was a relaxed and enjoyable event!

1940s WEEKEND AT BLACK COUNTRY MUSEUM 2016
It's a journey back in time to wartime Britain and what makes it really interesting is that it's all staged within the picturesque setting of a Victorian village!
Set in 26 acres the Black Country Living Museum celebrates the region's proud industrial heritage and once a year presents the highly popular 1940s Weekend.
There's was so much to see with Homefront displays and 1940s costumed re-enactors everywhere,
and military re-enactments and exhibitions, and vintage vehicles lining the streets.
This was a really great two day event! Very enjoyable!

Second Weekend at Severn Valley Railway 1940s Event 2016
This is why I like taking photo's of 1940's events! Sometimes its like capturing a moment in time.
It's easy to imagine you're back in wartime Britain with so many authentically dressed actors and their military displays and vintage car's.
Severn Valley Railway is one of the premier Midland 1940s events and is always very popular, drawing large crowds, and not surprisingly there were lots of photographers at this two weekend WWII event.
It was great talking to the re-enactors and veterans and I'm already looking forward to next years "Stepping Back to the 1940s" at Severn Valley Steam Railway.
